We love the wines from Arterberry Maresh, and 2023 is another standout release from this excellent Oregon address, with a new recent score from Wine Spectator this time around. Third-generation winemaker Jim Maresh shows the expression of fruit and soil with low-intervention winemaking and farming with organic vineyard practices to produce exceptional wines at very reasonable pricing, competing with bottles twice the price or more. The 2023 Dundee Pinot Noir is another perfect example of this beautifully balanced, bright, and Old World style that Jim perpetuates and is one of the best buys for Oregon Pinot this vintage once again. The fruit for this bottle comes from the Weber vineyard, Dux vineyard, and Jim's estate vineyard. 2022 will be another great example, and the warmer growing season should pair very well with Jim's classic style, making for an example that could be enjoyed off-release. Another not-to-miss effort, big scores are sure to come soon, and once again, this is one of the most magnificent values for Pinot Noir from anywhere this vintage, and a perfect bottle for old-world and new-world fans alike at this sharp pricing.
